Serve LA
Message from Susie FIKSE (DIRECTOR OF HOPE FOR SAN DIEGO)
Good morning,
In response to a few requests, I've compiled some ideas for your congregations to respond to the LA fires and tremendous need for immediate relief. Right now, there are no volunteer needs and cash donations are most critical to keep the infrastructure of relief efforts funded. Thanks for considering!
Susie
Hope for San Diego will be assisting Love Does in their relief efforts next week as needed. Your donations will purchase requested items such as water, towels, blankets, hygiene products for those displaced by the Easton and Palisades Fires. Cash donations are most helpful.
The LB Church Collective is working with Christ Church Sierra Madre, a church where 12 families lost their homes on Tuesday night. Additionally, Christ Church has a demonstrated long-term commitment to serving their community. Cash donations are most helpful.
If you have contacts in LA that want to drop off physical donations, the items on the following list can be dropped off Monday-Friday (starting 1/13) 9 am - noon at Parkcrest Church (3936 Woodruff Ave., Long Beach, 90808)
